An attacker manipulated the price of NSTR in an illiquid onchain market, causing the manipulated price to enter NSTR’s Pragma oracle response. The attacker then used NSTR at the inflated valuation as collateral in Nostra’s money market to borrow approximately $3.5M of other assets. Pragma says NSTR had limited liquidity and source coverage, the affected oracle response had only two contributing sources, and the manipulated input reflected an onchain pool price rather than a decimals or median-calculation error.
