Attacker gained access to the WLEO token contract's issuing mechanism and minted unlimited tokens. The attacker swapped the minted WLEO for ETH on Uniswap's liquidity pool, extracting ~$42K worth of Ethereum from the pool and causing a complete rug pull.

The WLEO contract of the Ethereum project was hacked, resulting in the theft of $42,000 worth of funds. The hackers stole Ethereum from the pool of the decentralized exchange Uniswap by casting WLEO to themselves and replacing it with Ethereum.
