On March 8, 2024, the Unizen DeFi aggregator on Ethereum was exploited for $2.1M (primarily USDT and DAI) via an external call vulnerability introduced in a contract upgrade. The CEO reimbursed affected users starting March 11.

The Unizen defi platform lost around $2.1 million in the Tether stablecoin in an attack that took advantage of a vulnerability an external call from the project smart contract. On March 12th, Unizen's CTO Martin Granström tweeted that they had recovered $185,000 worth of stolen funds from four hackers.
