On September 10, 2024, the CUT token on BSC was exploited via a flashloan attack that manipulated its price on PancakeSwap. The attacker used flash-loaned USDT to repeatedly add and remove liquidity, earning rewards based on inflated CUT prices, then drained the pair for approximately $1.4M with 99% slippage.

Caterpillar Coin suffered a flashloan attack resulting in a loss of ~$1.4M and causing a 99% slippage on the token. The attack exploited vulnerabilities in the "price protection mechanisms", which led to the manipulation of token reserves and rewards.
