On April 22, 2018, BeautyChain token suffered an integer overflow in the batchTransfer function, allowing attackers to generate 10^58 BEC tokens. Though face value was astronomical, the actual loss was limited by exchanges halting BEC/SMT trading on April 25 in response to the vulnerability.

Hacker exploited the data overflow to attack the smart contract of BeautyChain, successfully transferred the BEC token to the two addresses resulted in the massive BEC being sold in the market, and the value of the digital currency was almost zero, which brought a crushing blow to BEC market.
